They have been a couple for over two years now.And when they were photographed out in New York on Friday, 43-year-old Sarah Paulson and 75-year-old Holland Taylor strolled arm in arm. That day, Holland spoke at the Majestic Theatre during the star-studded memorial service for legendary gossip columnist Liz Smith, who died at 94 in November. When Holland and Sarah – both Emmy-winning TV stars – were glimpsed out on the sidewalk that day, both of them had huge smiles on their faces.Sarah wrapped herself in a bright blue coat, which featured a collar that had been turned upward to reveal black lining.Keeping her hands cozy in purplish grey gloves, she held onto a black tasseled clutch and slipped into black high-heeled boots.Meanwhile, Holland wound a stylish print scarf round her neck and bundled up in a knee-length black coat, slinging a matching purse over her shoulder.According to Deadline, the memorial service for Liz saw speeches from such names as Bruce Willis, Renée Zellweger, Lesley Stahl, Cynthia McFadden and Barry Diller.Holland said onstage that ‘This circle of life bulls*** may be all well and good for those dearly departed, but for us down here it is just awful to lose the most wonderful person in the world.’ She recalled meeting Liz, who was herself bisexual and told Holland they would ‘begin our affair’ after the columnist came back from a European holiday.’I allowed as that really wasn’t very likely to happen. And if it did, it certainly wouldn’t go past Labor Day,’ said Holland – who once wrote and starred in a one-woman show about Liz’ pal, the late Texas governor Ann Richards.Their friendship, which Holland said was kicked off that Labor Day, served in her words as ‘a safe harbor’ amid ‘a mean old world,’ per Deadline.
